Painting live Tuesday @10am PST

Just wanted to give y'all heads up that I'll have my webcam on in the studio while I'm starting some new paintings. I'm hoping to be online for at least an hour, but it could possibly be less because we have some one coming tomorrow to do a repair on our fridge (you know how that whole four hour window goes....you never know when they'll show up).

So I hope you'll pop in on me over at my Ustream channel Paulette Paints LIVE tomorrow. If you want to leave me a message there on the chat window, you'll have to join Ustream in order to do that. I always read them after I stop broadcasting, but can't see them while I'm broadcasting 'cause I'm still using my phone to do the live video stream. :D

Progress...almost there

live webcam painting from the studio...join me!!

just wanted to give y'all a heads up to let ya know i'm gonna try to do the webcast thing again today. so join me around 9:30am pst. i'll be online for about an hour or so. my computer is no longer in my studio (was too distracting)...i'll be broadcasting from my iphone video camera (propped up in my brush caddy) so i won't be able to chat with you while i paint, but don't let that  keep you from stopping by! xoxo

Live from the studio....testing 1, 2, 3....

giving live broadcasting from the studio another go....just testing things out for a short little bit today to see how it goes. if all goes well, then i'll try to broadcast from my brush caddy webcam (my iphone propped up in my tabletop brush caddy lol!) a couple times each week.

i'm just gonna be painting (and you'll probably hear me singing along to music too....i do that) and not answering questions, but you'll get a peek at my process. hope you'll join me! xoxo

evolving...

more works in progress....started these friday night while waiting on my hubby to get home. drew the shapes in on the smaller one (which is on cardbard...a recycled priority mail box) on sunday afternoon after church. my art still seems to be evolving and i find myself wondering where God's gonna take it next. excited and a bit scared all at once....know what i mean?

Purple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

whew!!! i finally am starting to feel like i can breathe again! lol! thought i'd do a quick post and show you one new thing with me....i've had these purple streaks almost two months now, but haven't gotten any good pics 'til tonight. they started out such a dark purple that you could only see it in bright light. they've lightened quite nicely now and i have been getting tons of comments. :D i have wanted to get this done for many years and could never get up the courage to do it. now i'm so glad i did and don't know why i waited so long!!! lovin' having chunks of purple in my curls!!

The original paintings below are for sale by the person who originally purchased them. She had some unforeseen circumstances occur and is having to sell them. She's asking $180 each plus shipping. Holy Lord, we come with joy to celebrate the birth of your son, who rescued us from the darkness of sin by making the cross a tree of life and light. May our Christmas tree arrayed in splendor, remind us of the the life-giving cross of Christ, that we may always rejoice in the new life that shines in our hearts. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Art class preperations

Things are nuts right now...came down with yet another icky virus and there's so much to do 'round here. Below is a peek at some prep I'm doing today for my students...gessoing some cardboard for a painted Christmas ornie project. Just one of the bazillion things I'm trying to get done today. Lol! A little loose sketching before bed

I was itching to do some sketching before I went to sleep tonight and all I had on my nightstand was this index card notebook and a ball point pen. I used to never draw with a pen, but I'm now seeing that it's forcing me to loosen up and commit to my marks...and build on them rather than trying to make them perfect the first time. Give it a try...you might surprise yourself the way I did. :)
