I can hardly believe that this day is already here....Aiden started kindergarten today!!! He was so excited....he actually got up out of bed almost immediately when I went in to wake him. Then he went straight in to have his bath....which never happens! He's usually so hard to get going in the morning.....but today was different. He was starting "big kid" school today.
Before leaving, he kept saying how he was so happy it was September because that meant he got to go back to school. Awwwwwwww :) That made me both happy and sad at the same time.....happy that he's so excited about this new chapter in his life, but sad that he'll be away from home
most of the day now during the week. Hard to believe that he's already five....seems just like a few months ago he was two. *sigh*
It's so strange with the house being so quiet. I've gotten used to the TV running in the background playing Noggin or Nick Jr. in the mornings while he sang along with the songs or participated in what ever was going on with the show....now there's total silence.
Well I'd better get movin'....I haven't even managed a shower yet. LOL! And I'm gonna leave y'all with the pic Aiden took all by himself this morning. He was trying to take a picture of himself like Momma does and this was the result. Too cute!!! (You can see a bit of my studio in the background). Hope all you mommas out there with little ones starting school (or that have already started) are hanging in there. Even with getting this time back, it's hard to let them go.
Have a blessed day!!! xoxo
AW!! What a cutie pie! Great he was so excited about his big day! Enjoy your free time!

Paulette! He is so cute! Brings back memories. I can relate to the way you are feeling...I felt that way too. My son is a 2nd grader now! Yikes! I have adjusted quite well (smile) to the free time during the day..but it was hard the first year! I had a really hard time with letting my son ride the bus all by himself. He looked so little getting on this big bus. It was a new level of trust for me with the Lord, too.
Hugs from one mom to another!

I think that it is great that a fellow mum/artist/blogger has posted her child's first day off to kindergarten. My last blog was of the same thing.
Love your art. Hearted you on etsy ages ago and just saw your comment on my friend Sandy's blog. It is a small world!
Take care,
Maria
