so i'm finally feeling better....still a bit stuffy, but so much better than last week! yea! thanks so much for all the get well wishes! y'all rock! :D
thought i'd post pics for y'all of what i did before i got hit by the nasty bug. my lighting in here is not so good because it's a typically gray northwest day today and i just didn't feel like setting up the light tent....but they are a pretty good representation of how they look in person.
these were all done as part of the online class i'm taking with the sweet and talented mystele. it's really pushing me to grow...something i've been needing to do for a while now, but chose (unconsciously) to stay where i felt safe. well, God had another thing in mind! lo! when i tried a couple of times during the summer to paint in the style i'm known for, all i got was frustration. i didn't understand what was going on at the time, but now i do. these pieces came so much easier and i feel much more connected to God's plan for the gifts He's given me. no more fighting for contol....i'm letting go. :D
blessings & hugs ♥

Very cool Paulette! I love the style you're painting!

thanks so much darla! helps settle my mind (you know, those doubts that like to creep in and squash those good feelings) to know that this new direction i'm heading toward is still speaking to fans of my prior work. :D

Hi Paulette, I am really loving your newer style! I love the colors and the modern edge, plus you still have the sweetness that is a signature to your portraits. As I am still new to all this (you being my first teacher at Inspired and all! wink wink) I find it to be so cool to be able to spot a painting and know who did it, I still feel like I can spot yours in this newer style, I love it!
Oh, and just to let you know...my "Paulette" painting sold in a charity event!! My first sale!!
