Okay, so I am not the only person who does that then! I always feel like something I've made needs to stay in the house for a while before it is off to it's new destination.

Do you put a fixative on your work or a varnish? I am so use to drawing in my little art journal, canvas stuff is very new to me!

Btw, I really love the tones of your painting.

I wish my son could occupy himself with peanuts. :) Love the new piece!

Thank you both so much!! I'm so happy you love the new piece! Hopefully I can get my act together and get an actual finished pic posted this week. ;)

I use a spray matte finish on my pieces. I've tried using a varnish, but they are all so stinky and the smell just irritates me. The smell from the matte finish fades rather quickly where as all the varnishes and other finishes I've tried, the smell never seems to fade.

Yeah, Aiden surprised me with that one. Usually he's constantly trying to eat them (boys....go figure). This time he just pretended that that they were people and he acted out a little story with them. So cute!!! :D

love your new blog.
